Every year the Giorgio Pasquali Foundation offers 12-month fellowships for graduate work in classical languages, archaeology and history.
The fellowships are awarded on a competitive basis considering the student's work to date and an oral exam/interview; both Italian and foreign students who have the prerequisites can apply.
Giorgio Pasquali was a professor at the Scuola Normale from 1930 to 1952. His widow, Maria Nosei, left instructions for the creation of the Foundation in her will, and it was then recognized by the Ministry of Education in 1993.
The fellowship recipients for 2012 are Fabio Guidetti and Riccardo Olivito.
