The General Secretary
The General Secretary is responsible for the overall management and organization of services in accordance with the guidelines established by the Director and other governing bodies of the Scuola Normale.
The General Secretary is also conferred with the powers envisaged by the current regulations in the area of management in the public administration, as well as the adoption of acts and related regulations, except for those assigned to the competence of the managers.
The post of General Secretary is conferred by the Executive Council, on a proposal from the Director, to a highly qualified professional with many years of experience and proven managerial functions.
The post is for a subordinate role that lasts no longer than four years and is renewable. The General Secretary may appoint a deputy General Secretary to assist him in carrying out his duties and to act as a substitute in case of his absence or impediment.
