Benedetta Carlotti (Fivizzano, Massa Carrara, 1987) is a PhD student in political science and sociology at the Institute for Humanities and Social Sciences (Scuola Normale Superiore, Florence). She works under the supervision of Professor Maurizio Cotta and Professor Manuela Caiani. She holds a BA in interpretation and translation from the SSLMIT (Scuola Superiore di Lingue Moderne per Interpreti e Traduttori, University of Trieste) and an MA (cum laude, 2014) in political science from the University of Siena. Her PhD research focuses on political parties’ attitudes to the EU and their activities inside of the European Parliament. Specifically departing from a critical review of the concept of Euroscepticism.
